# GNSS reception map and evidence

SatellAItes is a browser-based GNSS analysis tool. It brings together satellite geometry, public ADS-B observations, weather and space-weather context. Each indicator must be read with its source, date and limitations.

## Methods and interpretation

The map shows calculations based on real observations. It is not a direct measurement of the radio spectrum or a certified navigation service.

H3 cells, resolution 4. A suspect cell requires at least five eligible aircraft, three with low quality, a low-quality ratio ≥ 30%, and two genuinely low-quality snapshots at least 60 seconds apart. Ground states, excluded categories, MLAT sources and stale positions are not eligible evidence.

Isolated position jumps are anomalies. Agreement between at least three aircraft with similar movement and direction can produce a suspect group. These rules never provide confirmation.

This percentage describes aircraft observed in this area and period. It measures neither jamming power nor certainty of disruption on the ground.

No degradation observed in this sample. This does not guarantee normal reception throughout the area.

Fraction of evaluable time meeting the profile thresholds. This percentage is not the actual probability of radio reception. Calculated at 5-minute steps: shorter outages may be missed. The bounds cover unknown intervals; they are not a statistical confidence interval.

For RTK, the percentage covers geometric prerequisites only. Correction availability and ambiguity resolution remain unknown.

## Questions about GNSS reception

### What does this GNSS reception map show?

The map helps explore reported aircraft positioning quality, satellite visibility and geometry, and contextual environmental factors. Available data depends on the source and selected time. Missing data remains unknown.

### Does a degraded positioning indicator prove GNSS jamming or spoofing?

No. NIC and NACp describe positioning integrity and accuracy reported by aircraft. A degraded indicator can support further investigation, but does not establish the cause or confirm jamming or spoofing.

### Is satellite visibility the same as radio reception probability?

No. Visibility and PDOP describe orbital geometry under model assumptions. Actual radio reception also depends on antennas, frequencies, terrain, multipath, interference and measured receiver performance.

### Can this map guarantee safe drone navigation or RTK positioning?

No. These exploratory indicators are not a certified operational navigation service. RTK additionally requires correction data and carrier-phase ambiguity resolution. A favourable map result does not guarantee reception at an individual receiver.
